Ranking of fuzzy numbers based on angle measure
author
Abstract:
In this paper, a novel approach for ranking fuzzy numbers based on the angle measure is introduced. Several left and right spreads at each chosen levels of fuzzy numbers is used to determine center of mass points(CMPs) and then, the angels between the CMPs and the horizontal axis is calculated. The total angle is determined by averaging the computed angles and finally, the novel method is compared with other methods by solving some numerical examples

full textRanking Fuzzy Numbers Based on Ambiguity Degrees
Since much of human reasoning is based on imprecise, vague and subjective values, most of decision-making processing, in reality, requires handling and evaluation of fuzzy numbers. Zadeh’s (Zadeh 1965) fuzzy logic has given analysts a tool to present the human behavior more precisely, especially where relatively few data exist, and where the expert knowledge about the system is vague and lingui...
full textRanking Fuzzy Numbers Based on Lexicographical Ordering
Although so far, many methods for ranking fuzzy numbers have been discussed broadly, most of them contained some shortcomings, such as requirement of complicated calculations, inconsistency with human intuition and indiscrimination. The motivation of this study is to develop a model for ranking fuzzy numbers based on the lexicographical ordering which provides decision-makers with a simple and ...
full textFuzzy Risk Analysis Based on Ranking of Fuzzy Numbers Via New Magnitude Method
Ranking fuzzy numbers plays a main role in many applied models inreal world and in particular decision-making procedures. In manyproposed methods by other researchers may exist some shortcoming. The most commonly used approaches for ranking fuzzy numbers isbased on defuzzification method. Many ranking fuzzy numberscannot discriminate between two symmetric fuzzy numbers withidentical core. In 200...
